Extension is seeking a Buyer II for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Waukesha, WI.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and products necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, materials management, and procurement processes to ensure that our production needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

• Conducts transactions for the procurement of manufacturing materials, tools, supplies, and services for machines in accordance with approved requisitions and procedures.
• Interacts with subcontractors to purchase fabricated, machined and welded components.
• Identify alternative sourcing if needed, based on quality and pricing.
• maintain procurement records.
• Discuss defective and unacceptable good or services with inspection and quality control.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree + 3 years of purchasing experience
• REQUIRED - SAP experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Cost consciousness mindset
