Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

As our Senior Business Development Manager, you'll be instrumental in amplifying Exxelia's footprint in the medical device and resistor manufacturing sectors across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This pivotal role demands a blend of strong technical expertise, strategic business acumen, and leadership to cultivate key customer relationships and drive impactful market expansion initiatives. You'll be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities, engaging directly with customer design engineers to translate complex needs into bespoke solutions, and leading high-value negotiations that directly contribute to our revenue growth and market leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets, focusing on technical applications and custom engineering solutions.
  • Engage directly with customer design engineers to determine technical requirements and recommend customized resistor solutions.
  • Assess the feasibility of projects based on technical challenges, manufacturing capabilities, and cost considerations.
  • Lead customer negotiations and manage high-value client relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to support the development of new resistor designs tailored to specific applications.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to align product development with customer needs and market demands.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise and competitive analysis to inform business strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Work with sales representatives and distributors to expand Exxelia's footprint within key industries.
  • Travel to engage with customers and vendors as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior business development, executive, or similar leadership role with a strong technical focus in the medical device or electronic components industry.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into viable product solutions.
  • Ability to build strong technical rapport, deeply understand customer applications, and recommend design solutions.
  • Strong business process analysis, technical requirement interpretation, and product knowledge skills.
