Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst in our Information Technology team.

This role is responsible for business analysis across all finance-related projects and services. This position supports business solutions focusing on:

  • Business process efficiency
  • Corporate goals and initiatives

Location: Based out of our offices in Purchase, NY / New York City / Morristown, NJ / Conshohocken, PA / Charlotte, NC. We foster collaboration and a thriving work environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the evolution of IT's business requirements activities across the Finance portfolio, supporting strategic and tactical objectives.
  • Lead requirements definition for Finance solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs, and translating these into detailed requirements, process flows, and mock-ups.
  • Implement system automation to enhance processes, data quality, and reduce manual errors.
  • Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing with stakeholders and project managers.
  • Lead a team of business analysts, managing priorities, resources, and team development.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align IT investments with business strategy, developing business cases and analyses.
  • Maintain communication with Finance managers regarding IT activities.
  • Enforce analysis processes and standards to meet quality objectives.
  • Recommend and monitor IT process improvements to reduce costs and improve quality and speed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • What You'll Bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; Master's or MBA preferred.
    • Experience in Accounting and/or Finance operations.
    • 7+ years in financial systems implementation, including:
      • 5+ years in Insurance industry focusing on Finance.
      • 2+ years managing business analysis teams.
      • Experience with SAP FS-CD and FS-GL on HANA.
    • Strong business acumen and leadership skills.
    • Proven project management experience.
    • Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.

    Salary Range: $110,000 – $140,000, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.
