Title: Senior Business Analyst, EmpowerSF, QA Test Manager Duration: 6 months Location: San Francisco, CA As the Senior Business Analyst, EmpowerSF, QA Test Manager, you will report to the Executive Director of EmpowerSF, be a part of the Department of Technology, and serve as the Testing lead for Employee Central HR, Benefits, Time Management, and Payroll, the district's new, integrated HR, Payroll and Time system powered by SAP SuccessFactors and Workforce. You will contribute to the Department of Technology's transformational work to deliver on the promises outlined in both Transform Learning. Transform Lives. s well as our long-term, city-wide north star, Vision 2025 . We're seeking a candidate with a strong technical background who can bridge functional and technical requirements for SAP/SuccessFactors and Workforce implementation to ensure the platforms meets the functional and user needs of CLIENT'S's employee community. The 1053 Senior Business Analyst for EMPowerSF will lead the testing of EC HR, Benefits, Time, and Payroll that have stringent deadlines and the tight schedule. This is a new role established as a result of evolving needs and new required tasks following the district's system change, reorganization, and transferred responsibilities. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Consults with CLIENT'S employees, management, and customers and recommends technological testing solutions to issues impacting business operations.
  • ct as a technical and functional testing lead for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central HR, Benefits, Time, and Payroll.
  • Works very closely with the System Integrator and Independent testers to ensure all changes and enhancements are implemented successfully.
  • Develops Regression and Automated Testing Plans
  • Help develop and manage the execution of robust test plans, including utilizing software testing tools to perform unit, system integration, regression, automated, and user acceptance testing, and manage the execution of robust test plans related to all SAP HR modules.
  • Develop testing Strategy
  • Ensures all Changes and Enhancements to the system are fully tested and documented
  • Works very closely with the CLIENT'S Release Manager, Executive Director, and other team members
  • Creates SAP tickets for emergencies as needed and works closely with SAP consultants
  • Helps document SAP SuccessFactors EC, Benefits, and Time Management test scripts
  • Reviews the testing evidence prepared by Infosys and other consultants
  • Develop and review test scripts and scenarios related to EC, benefits, Time, and Payroll changes/enhancements and configurations to the SAP system and Time processing to strengthen the system for greater efficiency under the guidance of the CLIENT'S HR, Benefits, Time management, and Payroll staff and Department of Technology Business Applications management, and in alignment with EMPowerSF governance
  • Provides testing support, direction to HR, Benefits, Time Mgmt, and payroll Operations team members
  • Liaise with functional divisions, including HR, Benefits, Time, and Payroll for functional enhancements, new functionality, and provide ongoing testing support
  • Provide targeted support to HR Leaves and Benefits team to ensure leaves of absence are tested and managed accurately to result in accurate and timely pay
  • Test all data interfaces between EC, Time, Benefits, Accounting and Payroll
  • nalyzes, monitors, and identifies defects with the HR, Time, and Benefits system functionality and works with functional and technical teams to test defects and enhancements configured in the system.
  • Manage and monitor data uploads and data interfaces to ensure timely accessibility to data needed to run functional operations for CLIENT'S employees
  • Serves as HR, Benefits, and Time technical lead for critical system updates and monitors timely implementation of SAP SuccessFactor releases and support packs
Develop reports and visualizations for functional teams to analyze employee needs Identify opportunities for improvement or automation of current business practices and policies Handle tickets in SmartSheets and Zendesk, providing Tier 2/3 assistance and analysis for end users, managers, and power users Draft and maintain system and application design documentation and configuration documentation
  • Use data to improve processes and operations to continuously improve upon existing practices
  • Communicate technical concepts to a general audience and other non-technical team members
  • Represents Payroll Administration as the SAP SuccessFactors technical lead in external meetings and activities
  • Provide ongoing testing support for EMPowerSF HR, Time, Benefits, and Payroll

  • Experience with manual and automated testing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Benefits, and WorkForce, and payroll
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors modules and WorkForce Time mgmt
  • Extensive knowledge with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Benefits, and Payroll
  • Excellent at understanding the Business Requirements and reviewing functional configuration changes
  • Proficiency with Crystal Reports
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into detailed test scenarios and scripts
  • Experience in testing new systems and tools and/or systems consolidation
The ability to build strong working relationships and support a positive work environment
  • Experience in data visualization (ie: Tableau)
