We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and independent Senior Backend API Data Developer to join the VIPR Product Group within Armis. You will play a critical role in building and scaling data pipelines that support solutions addressing key cybersecurity challenges.

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for large data volumes.
  • Develop robust ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into our data warehouse.
  • Optimize workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement data quality monitoring and validation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate data-driven features.
  • Stay updated on emerging data engineering technologies and propose innovative solutions.
  • US Citizen (based in US) - Required
  • 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer or similar, focusing on data pipelines and infrastructure, with hands-on Python programming using libraries like Pydantic, MongoDB, FastAPI, Redis, Pandas, NumPy, Spark - Required
  • 3+ years experience with MongoDB handling large datasets (terabytes) - Required
  • Strong understanding of database systems and query optimization.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, ECS, SQS).
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and parallel processing frameworks.
  • Solid data modeling skills, with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Salary range: $163,000 - $195,000
