Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Specialist - Maximus : Job Details

Maximus is on the lookout for a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Specialist to take charge of managing AWS workloads, system deployment, security, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and performance of DoD systems in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage AWS workloads with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
• Utilize AWS Console and CLI for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems.
• Provide system administration support for development teams using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Adhere to best practices outlined in the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems administration on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Demonstrable experience or training in managing AWS workloads, including Amazon EKS, and supporting development and testing teams.
• IAT Level II certifications are mandatory.
• Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training with at least 2 years of applied experience on containerized platforms is required.
• Completion of 3 of the following certifications or trainings (4 years of experience may be substituted for each certification):

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) certification
• CompTIA Security+
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; a bachelor's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, while a master's degree may substitute for an additional 2 years of experience.

This full-time position is located in San Antonio, TX, and offers a competitive salary range starting at $105,000.00 and going up to $205,000.00 based on qualifications and experience.
