Maximus is on the lookout for a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Specialist to take charge of managing AWS workloads, system deployment, security, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and performance of DoD systems in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage AWS workloads with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
- Utilize AWS Console and CLI for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems.
- Provide system administration support for development teams using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Adhere to best practices outlined in the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems administration on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Demonstrable experience or training in managing AWS workloads, including Amazon EKS, and supporting development and testing teams.
- IAT Level II certifications are mandatory.
- Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training with at least 2 years of applied experience on containerized platforms is required.
- Completion of 3 of the following certifications or trainings (4 years of experience may be substituted for each certification):
AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational) AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) certification
- CompTIA Security+
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; a bachelor's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, while a master's degree may substitute for an additional 2 years of experience.
This full-time position is located in San Antonio, TX, and offers a competitive salary range starting at $105,000.00 and going up to $205,000.00 based on qualifications and experience.
