Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Manager - Maximus : Job Details

Maximus is on the lookout for a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Manager with a focus on managing and optimizing AWS workloads. The ideal candidate will oversee system deployment, security, and compliance, utilizing AWS tools to ensure systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and performance of DoD systems in the cloud.

This position is on-site and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage AWS workloads, emphasizing security and adherence to compliance standards.
• Utilize the AWS Console and CLI for system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development teams by providing system administration support on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement best practices based on AWS Well-Architected Framework guidelines.

Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Over 10 years of systems administration experience on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Proven experience with AWS, Amazon EKS, and supporting development and testing teams.
• IAT Level II certification.
• Kubernetes CKA certification, with at least 2 years of experience in containerized environments.
• Three of the following certs or trainings: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer. Four years of experience can substitute for each certification where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS SysOps Administrator certification.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• A bachelor's degree in a related field is desired; specific degrees can substitute for experience requirements (2 years for bachelor's, 2 additional years for master's).

Pay and Benefits:

Minimum Salary: $105,000.00

Maximum Salary: $205,000.00
