A mid-sized CPA & Business Consulting Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Auditorto join our growing team in their Midtown Manhattan location. This role offers direct client engagement, leadership responsibilities, and a clear path for advancement within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in audit methodology and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial statement audits from planning through completion for clients in various industries
• Develop detailed audit plans and perform risk assessments to determine appropriate audit procedures
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and interns throughout the engagement process
• Review workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm and professional standards (GAAP, GAAS, etc.)
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to identify audit issues and recommend solutions
• Prepare organized, clear, and well-documented audit files and client deliverables
• Communicate audit findings, progress, and recommendations to firm leadership and client stakeholders
• Manage client expectations and serve as the primary contact during fieldwork
• Monitor budgets and timelines to ensure efficient engagement execution
• Stay up to date on industry trends, technical standards, and regulatory developments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required, master's in accounting preferred
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred
• 3–5 years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and applicable reporting frameworks
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and audit software such as CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or ProSystem fx
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Willingness to travel to client locations as needed
