Audit Manager / Senior Manager – Financial Services

An elite, boutique public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager to lead engagements for a diverse set of financial services clients, including private equity firms, hedge funds, broker-dealers, and other asset managers. This leadership role oversees the full lifecycle of audits—from planning through execution and reporting—while also playing a key part in mentoring junior professionals and advising clients on accounting and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple audit engagements across financial services sectors, ensuring audits are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Develop tailored audit strategies, including risk assessments and engagement planning.
• Oversee day-to-day fieldwork, supervise audit staff, and review workpapers to ensure quality and compliance with professional standards.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering practical recommendations to improve internal controls and financial reporting.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through responsive communication and consistent service excellence.
• Stay current with changes in accounting and regulatory standards impacting financial institutions.
• Support team development through coaching, feedback, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license preferred (required for Senior Manager level).
• Minimum of 5–8 years of public accounting experience with a focus on financial services (including private equity, hedge funds, and broker-dealers).
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and industry-specific regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and team management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle complex client interactions.
• Proficiency with audit software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
