This role is a hybrid position, working in the New York Office from Tuesday to Thursday, with Monday and Friday as work-from-home days.

Role Overview:

  • Support Planning, Design, and Construction Team in developing strategies aligned with company goals and initiatives.
  • Manage and implement interior design and renovation projects for NYL Business Units.
  • Manage and expedite high-visibility, special projects.
  • What You'll Do:

    • Communicate effectively with executive-level clients and individuals at all levels.
    • Be detail-oriented, confident, and a self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
    • Maintain a proactive, 'can-do' attitude with minimal information.
    • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, self-awareness, and a strong work ethic.

    Project Management:

    • Manage external consultants including architects, engineers, project management firms, furniture, and IT vendors for projects ranging from demolition to move-in.
    • Coordinate with internal departments such as Procurement, IT, and Accounts Payable.
    • Oversee departmental renovations, including planning, schematic design, furniture procurement, layout, and project execution, as well as personnel relocations.
    • Manage all NYL Facilities Design projects for various operations and business units.
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and improve workplace protocols and contracts.

    Monitor and Implement Corporate Space and Furniture Strategies:

    • Collaborate with Procurement to develop space standards and cost-effective furniture contracts.

    Budget and Project Tracking:

    • Improve automated project management processes related to RFPs, purchase orders, contracts, and work orders to streamline procurement and accounting.

    What You'll Bring:

    • Highly motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage upward and downward.
    • Experience with IWMS or Spatial Data is a plus but not required.
    • Strong presentation and visual communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
    • Critical thinking, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design with at least 10 years of professional experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, MS Projects, and Excel.

    Pay Transparency

    Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

    Overtime eligible: Exempt

    Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

    Sales bonus eligible: No

    Base salary will be determined based on experience, skills, and location. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and may participate in incentive programs.
