Senior Associate Scientist - The Fountain Group : Job Details

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Andover, MA 01810. Details of the position are as follows:

Shift Information:

• Monday – Friday, Fully Onsite, W2 Position!
• Pay range starts at $50+/hr!
• 15-month contract to start, extension or conversion beyond that is based on performance and budget at that time.

Job Description:

• Position is primarily responsible for the detailed characterization of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and other therapeutic proteins using a broad set of analytical chemistry techniques.
• Position will also be responsible for implementing and optimizing analytical methods to support research and development efforts in protein sciences.
• Position will be in charge of executing assays such as N-Glycan Analysis, Titer Determination, Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Peptide Mapping, Imaged Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (iCE), Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE), and some Mass Spectrometry (MS) for in-depth analysis of protein structure and quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences is Required! Protein Biochemistry background strongly Preferred!
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in protein characterization is Required!
• Experience with N-Glycan Analysis, SEC, Peptide Mapping, iCE, and CGE is Required!
• Experience with Titer Testing, HPLC/UPLC techniques is Required!
• Experience with Mass Spectrometry for protein analysis is Preferred!
• Title experience as a Protein Chemist, Glycan Analyst, or Biochemistry/Chemistry-focused Scientist is Preferred!
