Senior Associate, Risk Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Associate, Risk Analyst will work on quantitative risk projects, investment strategy research, and data visualization across multiple asset classes. Responsibilities include monitoring portfolio compliance with risk guidelines, designing risk analytics tools, leveraging risk modeling platforms like BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, and MSCI LiquidityMetrics, and automating risk reports for senior management. The role involves collaborating with IT to develop scalable, cloud-based risk systems and enhancing computational frameworks using Azure Synapse, Python, and MATLAB.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk analysis on fixed income, equities, FX, commodities, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Quantify and decompose portfolio risk exposure and calibrate multi-factor models.
  • Automate reporting and ensure integration of risk analytics with regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development of cloud-based risk systems and improve computational frameworks.
Qualifications

Requires a Master's degree in Statistics, Financial & Risk Management, Financial Engineering, or related field, plus four years of experience in investment risk management, computational finance, and quantitative modeling. Experience must include:

  • Investment risk modeling for fixed income, equities, and derivatives.
  • Programming in SQL, Python, MATLAB, and Excel VBA for risk analytics.
  • Creating tools for Value at Risk, stress testing, and risk decomposition.
  • Using third-party risk platforms like BlackRock Aladdin and Bloomberg.

Additionally, one year of experience with MSCI LiquidityMetrics is required.
