As a Senior Agile Team Coach, you will act as the lead coach for enterprise-level strategic initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to coach the program and/or product leaders on creating effective multi-team organizational structures using cross-team planning and by deep rooting agile governance processes and value delivery processes. You will act as a role model for the Agile leader mindset and will participate in the advancement of agility across the company. This role requires constant research and experimentation with new and emerging Agile tools and practices.
What will I do?
- Lead Agile strategy and alignment, drive clarity on scope, deliverables and outcomes
- Work with program and product leaders and teams of strategic initiatives to implement and tailor effective stakeholder management practices to create an aligned sense of common purpose
- Leverage common Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, applying and tailoring suitable practices in a thoughtful manner to fit team and organizational needs
- Facilitate key Agile program team events such as PI Planning, Product Sync, Scrum of Scrums, PI and Program level Retrospectives; ensure teams are focused, aligned and continuously improving
- Guide and coach teams through defining, aligning, and achieving goals, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with strategic priorities
- Address team challenges proactively and foster an environment of trust and collaboration
- Be the advocate, educator and mentor in instill the learning and growth mindset across the organization
- Always stay two steps ahead by identifying emerging risks and using key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify new opportunities for growth
- Encourage a culture of reflection, experimentation and balance to enable sustainable long-term agility
- Adapt coaching styles based on team and organizational needs, balancing instructive and consultative while managing significant internal or external changes
- Participate in, or lead internal improvement efforts or implementation of new Agile service offers
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of Agile Team Coach or Product Owner or Agile leader experience
- 2 or more years in a functional leadership role
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and proactively identify and resolve challenges to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity, resolve conflicts constructively, and inspire collaboration across teams and leadership
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and the ability to engage diverse perspectives effectively
- Recognized certifications in Agile frameworks (e.g. CSPO, ACSM, SPC, RTE or SAFe Agilist) from recognized industry associations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
