If you are a manufacturing or mechanical engineering professional looking to drive new process development, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Lebanon, MO location, you will assist with new product development and capacity expansion programs. In this role, you will provide Design for Manufacturing input and coordinate activities associated with the procurement of new capital equipment.

AS A SENIOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Participate in cross-functional teams to provide design and costing input for manufacturing and new product/process changes.

• Coordinateandmanageprojectstodesign,procure,qualify,andimplementequipmentand manufacturing processes, while maintaining project schedules and budgets.

• Work with outside integrators and machine builders to confirm new equipment meets design requirements and performs as expected.

• Applypracticalautomation,LEANprinciples,anddevelopplantlayoutsandmaterialhandling solutions for high-volume manufacturing assembly lines.

• PerformPFMEAs,capabilitystudies,GageR&R,andotherstatisticalanalyses,asneeded,toverify and qualify production processes and equipment.

• Provide support for special customer samples, pilot, and engineering compressor builds. Interface with Copeland Advanced Manufacturing and Product Development Teams to gain an understanding of their needs and how best to meet them.

• Developdocumentationforusebyoperatorsandmaintenancetechnicianstoperformtheirduties and assist them in troubleshooting.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• BachelorofSciencedegreeinMechanical,Manufacturing,orIndustrialEngineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent; an associate's degree with equivalent work experience would also be considered

• Minimum of 5 (five) years experience in a similar role

• Strong Project management experience

• Involvedincapitalequipmentprocurement

• Experience with 2D and 3D design (Siemens NX and AutoCAD preferred but not required)

• Writtenandverbalcommunicationskills

• Experience reading machine mechanicaldrawings

• Motivatedself-starterandteamplayer,capableofworkingcloselywith Operations, Management,Product Engineering, peers, equipment suppliers, and plant personnel

• Experience and working knowledge of PC applications and Microsoft Office products

• Travel10-25%

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Minimum of 10 (Ten) years experience in a similar role

• Proficient with AutoCAD/DraftSight and Siemens NX design software

• Goodorganizationalandpresentationskills

• Experienceworkingindependentlyandinateamenvironment

• FamiliarwithLeanManufacturingfundamentals

• Familiar with Design for Manufacturing principles

Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Copeland's flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements, with over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
