General Purpose

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology Department's Residency and Fellowship programs, including accreditation, compliance, recruitment, evaluation, and education activities. Serves as a key resource on accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and specialty board certification, providing guidance to program leadership to ensure high-quality training programs. Acts as a liaison among trainees, faculty, administration, the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME), external agencies, and partner institutions.

This role requires maintaining confidential trainee and program records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, and leading marketing and recruitment initiatives. The position also involves identifying and implementing process improvements, supporting departmental training initiatives, and providing guidance or oversight to other staff as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Program Administration & Compliance – Manage daily operations of Residency and Fellowship programs, ensuring accreditation, compliance, and readiness for reviews and site visits.
  • Curriculum & Evaluation – Coordinate curriculum, scheduling, and assessments; monitor trainee progress and program effectiveness, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding – Oversee application review, interview coordination, match processes, orientation, and ongoing trainee compliance.
  • Communication & Outreach – Serve as liaison among trainees, faculty, leadership, and external partners; manage program marketing, website, social media, and events.
  • Data & Reporting – Maintain accurate trainee and program records; prepare reports, analyze outcomes, and support continuous quality improvement.
  • Leadership & Support – Provide guidance and training to staff, contribute to departmental budgeting, and participate in institutional and national committees.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
