Dotdash Meredith is seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Senior Ad Support Specialist to join our Advertising Operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success and efficiency of our digital advertising delivery across multiple platforms and products. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in ad operations, strong knowledge of ad tech systems, and a collaborative mindset. You'll serve as the bridge between ad operations, programmatic, product, and dev teams, driving support initiatives and troubleshooting complex ad delivery issues.

This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Team: The Advertising Operations team is a lean, high-impact group responsible for executing and troubleshooting digital advertising across all brands. We work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and vendors, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless campaign delivery.

Role Contributions - % - Responsibilities, Actions, and Results:

  • Serve as a primary contact for technical advertising support, resolving escalated issues from ad operations, programmatic, product engineering, and other internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot ad delivery and tracking issues across desktop, tablet, mobile, and app platforms.
  • Provide ongoing support for app ad implementations, testing, and debugging on iOS and Android.
  • Collaborate with ad product managers, developers, and vendors to implement, test, and optimize ad solutions.
  • Work within platforms like Google Ad Manager (GAM), Meta, GA4 to troubleshoot campaign delivery and ad rendering, and identify anomalies or bugs.
  • Coordinate with engineering and QA to validate new ad features, tags, formats, and partner integrations.
  • Assist in QA for ad-related implementations, including header bidding, ad tags, and video ad SDKs (e.g., Google IMA, Prebid) and app environments.
  • Support and collaborate on implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for third-party ad tech vendors and integrations.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Advertising or a related field.
  • Experience:

  • 3-5 years in digital advertising support, ad operations, or similar roles.
  • Skills, Certifications, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Google Ad Manager (GAM), including debugging ad requests and delivery.
  • Familiarity with Prebid/header bidding and programmatic auctions.
  • Proficient in browser dev tools for debugging ad calls, tags, and creatives.
  • Understanding of ad-serving metrics, KPIs, and troubleshooting latency and discrepancies.
  • Experience with ad trafficking systems, third-party vendors (IAS, Doubleverify, etc.), site monitoring tools (Confiant, Geoedge, etc.), and reporting tools.
  • Experience with ticketing systems like Jira.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts.
  • Experience at digital publishers or media companies with sell-side ad experience.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pay Range:

    Salary in New York: $80,000 - $95,000
