Our Environmental Planning Group prepares environmental documentation for projects including residential, educational, recreational, transportation, energy, water/wastewater, commercial, industrial, and military facilities.

We seek a Senior Acoustics/Noise Specialist with preferably 10+ years of experience (minimum 6 years) in noise modeling and impact assessment per CEQA and NEPA standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Quantify noise and vibration levels using models like FHWA TNM, CadnaA, FRA, FTA, and RCNM
  • Conduct ambient noise measurements with ANSI Type II meters
  • Assess compliance with standards and thresholds
  • Research local and federal noise regulations and policies
  • Develop mitigation strategies and compliance plans
  • Manage technical studies and CEQA/NEPA documentation
  • Provide noise monitoring and Title 24 analysis services
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and agencies
  • Prepare proposals, contract amendments, and assist in marketing

This role is ideal for a candidate with a positive attitude, strong research, analytical, and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. Experience working in a team-oriented environment is essential.
