From our Family to Yours Rastelli's is looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing team in Swedesboro, New Jersey.Job Description:We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to support the Controller in overseeing the company's financial operations, with a particular focus on leading the day-to-day accounting and financial management. The person occupying this role should be a key leader for the department. This role will report directly to the Controller. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions for a business unit, and GL and Cost Accounting functions for our primary business. This role will need to provide insight into operational performance, and ensure financial controls and compliance are maintained. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a strong command of manufacturing cost structures.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
  • CPA or CMA designation strongly (preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and personnel management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all business unit accounting functions, including monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Drive cost accounting and standard cost development for manufacturing operations.
  • Analyze product margins, manufacturing variances, and inventory levels to support operational decision-making.
  • Support Controller and Inventory Control team to develop formal inventory controls.
  • Partner with operations leadership to track performance metrics and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee capital expenditure tracking, fixed asset accounting, and project ROI analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages and deliver insight to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies across the division.
  • Lead audit preparation and serve as business unit liaison with external auditors.
  • Manage direct reports responsible for GL and cost accounting.
  • Support ERP implementation or enhancements as needed.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to build relationships across departments.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
