Senior Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

Lead and support the preparation of accurate financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant regulations. Produce accurate and reliable financial reports to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiate and execute accounting month-end close process in a timely manner.
  • Perform monthly bank account reconciliation, verify deposits, and handle bank inquiries. Reconcile cash disbursements, payroll, customer accounts, and general ledger accounts.
  • Evaluate and analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and cost control methods.
  • Analyze capital expenditures to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Oversee fixed assets and inventory movements and lead the annual inventory verification process.
  • Assist accounts receivables, collaborate to resolve billing or other related issues, implement collection strategies, reconcile accounts, and extract / analyze aging report.
  • Assist Accounts Payables with invoices, payments, vendor communication, and compliance. Oversee purchasing, invoicing, analyze aging report, and ensure smooth operations and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and manage the Annual Plan, and trailing forecast. Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support management for strategic planning and decision making.
  • Assist in preparation of tax filings while in compliance with tax regulations.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional groups and maintain the integrity of internal controls.
  • Support outside audits by providing accurate financial documents, explaining company processes, and acting as a liaison between auditors and departments for information gathering.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Financial statement preparation: Work closely with Controller on the compilation and accuracy of financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Transaction recording and verification: Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.

Financial analysis: Performing in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Budgeting and forecasting: Assisting in developing and managing budgets, providing financial forecasts for future periods.

Account reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and ensuring the accuracy of all accounts.

Compliance management: Ensuring adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Internal controls: Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Costing: Evaluate and analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and cost control methods.

CAPEX: Analyze capital expenditures to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • At least five years of related experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Extensive experience in accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and data analysis tools
  • Experience with preparation of accurate tax reports
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred
