Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of GAAP, hands-on experience with general ledger functions, and a proven ability to manage the month-end close process. The right candidate will be analytical, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries; monitor and reconcile expenses and balance sheet accounts.
• Perform monthly and quarterly variance analysis and generate departmental financial reports.
• Support the month-end and quarterly close process, including pacing against budgets.
• Document accounting processes and support internal controls compliance.
• Assist with preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax returns.
• Collaborate closely with the Controller and Staff Accountant on reconciliations and reporting.
• Participate in ad hoc financial projects and special assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (preferably in a mid-size corporate environment).
• CPA preferred (or parts passed).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with accounting systems (NetSuite a plus).
• Proficient with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Outlook skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screening and meet applicable local requirements.
