POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable Accommodations Statement

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
  • Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, including profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
  • Create Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations; document and monitor internal controls in support in auditing team
  • Train and mentor staff accountant
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, or Associate's degree along with work equivalent based on experience needed. CPA preferred. Experience: 5+ years' experience of experience in accounting. Preferrable three years public accounting along with one to two years in private sector. Experience with financial reporting is a strong requirement. Skills: Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Word and Outlook Highly detailed and organized. Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of associates. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with accounting software and programs. Strong written and oral communication.
