Senior Accountant - Vaco : Job Details

Job Title: Senior Accountant Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity of our financial records and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries with accuracy and timeliness

• Manage the general ledger and ensure consistency with GAAP

• Lead or support the monthly close process, ensuring all deadlines are met

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies independently

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy

• Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed by leadership

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments on accounting matters

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment

• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) is a plus

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
