Responsibilities
Perform certain monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports
Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Support and serve as backup to team members for the monthly close of accounts receivable, accounts payable & fixed assets, preparation of payroll files for GL upload and other accounting processes as needed
Act as a business partner to other departments to obtain and convey information and/or to correct transactions
Key contributor in continuous improvement projects. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans.
Qualifications
Accountant with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience, preferred
CPA, strongly preferred
Candidates must possess extremely strong Excel skills. You will be required to build sophisticated spreadsheets and models.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A high level of organizational skills plus be very detailed oriented are critical for this position.
Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
