Status: Full Time Shift: 8:00 am-5:00 pm Exempt: Yes Other information: Education: Bchelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or related field required. Master's degree in Business related field may substitute for Bachelor's degree. Licensure/Registration/Certification: CPA is preferred Experience/Skills: One (1) year of accounting experience required. Must possess a strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Should be able to analyze financial information.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to discuss financial informationwith various levels of management as well as members of administration. Should be able to manage work assignments to meet deadlines.Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Should be detail-oriented. Department Competencies: Supports the department during the annual external audit process. Prepares journal entries. Must have knowledge of calculator by touch, Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel), and basic math skills. Essential Job Functions/Competency: Performs accounting functions, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis for North Oaks Health System. Job Duties: Prepare and post journal entries Maintains summary of paid reimbursement percentage by payo Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable deadlines Analyze financial statements for inaccuracies and propose corrections Able to participate in cost report preparation Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts while correcting variances Participate in annual external audits Participate in cost report audits Participate in budget preparation Participate in service line and cost accounting analyses Stand in as backup personnel in accounts payable and payroll Assist in management of the treasury Prepares and distributes Medicare annual reimbursement rate schedules Submits reimbursement updates for contracts management system Participates in the development, implantation and monitoring of managed care contracts Complete other regulatory reporting requirements• Other duties as assigned
