YOUR MISSION

Job Overview:

The Senior Account Executive prepares and executes the commercial strategy for key retail accounts in North America with the aim to drive a sustainable and profitable business. In this role, you will drive revenue to exceed both sales and margin targets. Additionally, you will build strong relationships with existing (key account) customers and proactively explore new commercial opportunities that add value to our business development. You will work directly with the Head of Sales North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define profitable sales and business plans per customer and work to meet and achieve these in collaboration with sales support and other functions.
  • Monitor credit performance of customers to ensure solvency and minimize the risk of non-payment and stock returns.
  • Build, agree, ensure, and facilitate shipping of the order book per customer through the main sell-in period each year, as well as the timely execution of additional order opportunities throughout the season.
  • Conduct sales analysis to manage product life cycles, inventory levels, and capitalize on successes while addressing issues as needed.
  • Monitor competitor activities and performance, and implement strategies to compete effectively. Maintain market expertise and knowledge.
  • Expand the sales network in line with channel strategy per market, actively seeking new sales partners by identifying market needs and supporting or proposing new ways to increase sales.
  • Conduct contract and commercial negotiations with customers when necessary.
  • Travel to meet with key customers in person on a regular basis.
  • Engage in other relevant activities and projects that support business development in the North American market.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's or University Degree.
    • 7+ years of experience in a similar sales position, with working knowledge of the US retail environment and specific knowledge of value distribution.
    • Industry understanding of the consumer within sports & fashion sectors.
    • Strong understanding of retail sales practices within specific account bases.
    • Commercial mindset, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical skills, retail math, order book management, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong business orientation.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and recommend solutions.
    • Excellent communication and listening skills.
    • Technical product knowledge.
    • Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using sales and spreadsheet software tools.
