SEIU Food Service Worker - The University of Rochester : Job Details

1. Sets up food for serving, serves food according to prescribed manner, cleans utensils and equipment before, during and after serving. Checks completed tray before delivery to patients. 2. Performs limited food preparation or final processing of simple salads, desserts, vegetables, etc., by cutting up items of food, dishing out portions, wrapping, labeling and rotating food .. Sets up, maintains and cleans beverage containers including coffee, iced tea, hot chocolate, cream, juice and ice dispensers, and related equipment. Sets up condiment areas, salad, dessert and hot food counters; maintains adequate supply; and keeps area clean. Stores condiments and left-overs in a sanitary manner. 4. Checks need for replacement of deleted or shortage of items and notifies proper personnel. 5. Washes and sanitizes dining room tables and chairs cleans ash trays and maintains adequate supply of salt and pepper shakers. Sets up patient trays.
