Responsible for the technical support of various systems within your field of engineering required for operations at American Centrifuge Plant. Act as a liaison to the Security and Regulatory groups to ensure program requirements are met. Use knowledge, expertise, and problem-solving skills to maximize system availability and reliability. Capable of evaluating system performance and system health for the security system to management. Propose paths forward to align with system hardware/software capabilities in line with plant modification programs, policies, and procedures. Support technical interface tasks between the system owners, licensed service providers, and IT departments.Major Duties and Responsibilities :Resolve/correct issues identified with software and hardware of site security, alarm, and access systemsCorrect critical failures of the site security software and hardware and physical security plant systemsProvide support as a Design Team Approval Matrix (DTAM) member and or lead for plant modification/installation of alarm control points, physical security control points such as security fencing, access gates, security CPUs, and associated communications utilizing new or existing installed infrastructure systemsWork closely with Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure required security systems are operational and within specified security plansPerforms Change Evaluations and reviews as neededPerform other duties as assigned by managementSupport generation of site security system health reportsResponsible for the development of engineering documentation including, but not limited to, system requirements documents (SRDs), engineering evaluations (EE), equivalency substitutions evaluation (ESE), design analysis and calculations (DAC)s, Change Evaluations (CE), Job Field Instructions (JFI), Post Maintenance Testing (PMT)s, Preventive Maintenance determinations, and design verification test plans (TP)s.Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science Degree in an engineering field from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) school or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.3-5 years computer engineering, computer science experience preferredExperience in effective communication modes with various functional groupsPossess effective oral and written communication skillsProven experience with design, installation, and programming of process control automation applications to include Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and process instrumentationProven experience with design, installation, and controls for plant Physical security systems, including but not limited to, motion, cameras, fencing, intrusion detection systemsBe able to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC “Q” level security clearanceDesired Qualifications:Currently possess a DOE/NRC “Q” level security clearanceIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a DOE security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
