Starting Pay Rate: $17/hr

As a Safety Officer, you have a responsibility for ensuring safety, risk management, and compliance. Your communication and judgement are essential in providing fun and safe experiences for everyone who visits the Mary C. Winder Community Center.

What you will do as a Safety Officer:

• Operate and monitor CCTV system. Use footage to identify potential security risks or incidents.
• Communicate and enforce safety and security policies and procedures while maintaining respect and using tact.
• Regularly patrol facility for the purpose of detecting infractions, monitoring risks, and ensuring safety.
• Respond to emergency situations and activate Community Center safety and emergency response plans as needed.
• Control access to restricted areas during events in a professional and courteous manner.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Safety Officer, you'll need:

• Minimum of 1 year security experience.
• Certification (or become certified) in basic First Aid, CPR, AED.
• Experience in dealing with emergency situations.
• Willingness to obtain NYS Security Guard License; possession of a valid driver's license preferred.
