A newly hired Protector in Menlo Park/Palo Alto will earn no less than $90,000 in their first year with GDBA. Protectors with prior relevant experience, GDBA Training Academy performance, and promotion opportunities could earn up to $110,000 in their first year.

This is a full-time position with benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k).

Your Role as a Protector:
  • Monitor property utilizing GDBA Command Center tools and technology
  • Screen visitors and vendors; control access to protected sites
  • Coordinate and execute security plans and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide physical protection and logistical support at clients' homes and during travel
  • Provide secure transportation as needed
  • Survey and prepare locations prior to client arrival
  • Document suspicious activities in detail
  • Maintain readiness to meet any threat
Who You Are:

Our promotion system is merit-based; performance is prioritized over seniority.

What to Expect:
  • 12-day Introductory Essential Protector Skills (EPS) Training Academy
  • Professional Leadership Track (PLT): a 2-year on-the-job executive protection program including 500 hours of training, mentoring, instructing, certification, and four advanced academies
  • Must be drug and nicotine free
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must be able to swim
Additional Compensation and Benefits:
  • $1,500 sign-on bonus
  • Reimbursements for gym, massage, ammunition, and cellphone
  • $1,100 Health Savings Account (HSA) contribution
  • Family benefits including outing funds, active kids fund, and school supplies fund
  • Annual free vacations for 200 qualified Protectors
  • Up to $2,500 stipend for CCW licenses
  • Up to $1,000 stipend for certifications like EMT, Lifeguard, NRA, Pilot, Maritime
