The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services to protect the value and use of Disney's information through collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across The Walt Disney Company. The main focus areas of this group are:

  • Reduce the risk of both accidental and malicious data disclosure

  • Identify, monitor, engage with complete inventory of information

  • Establish appropriate policies and procedures to be followed

  • Educate user community to minimize risk

The Enterprise Governance team is responsible for the management of all cybersecurity policy, controls, standards, and guidelines. We ensure segment and business unit awareness of TWDC security requirements, identify patterns in findings and control exception to help mitigate risk, and monitor industry changes and direction and incorporate as appropriate into policy.

This role requires partnership with Information Security Officers (ISO) teams, Legal Privacy, and leadership in all areas of Cybersecurity. The role will help lead and drive Enterprise Cybersecurity Governance programs, initiatives, and objectives in relation to policy development, training and awareness, database management, security strategy and oversight, and governance maturity and growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the development of cybersecurity policies, controls, and standards.

  • Partner with security teams to provide cybersecurity governance support across the enterprise.

  • Leverage and gather security analytics across security functions to help understand and shape GIS governance strategy and continuous security improvement.

  • Develop standardized documentation formats and templates for information security policies, standards, and guidelines.

  • Prepare, organize, and manage enterprise governance meetings supporting the development of documentation, agendas, minutes, and follow up on action items.

  • Evaluate compliance with programs and processes to mitigate cybersecurity risk and ensure protection of company assets and information.

  • Provide leadership on cybersecurity governance issues to solve challenging security opportunities.

  • Establish documentation and reporting in support of security initiatives.

  • Research and analyze current and evolving legislative / regulatory changes related to cybersecurity.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of cybersecurity awareness and training programs.

  • Manage and analyze data to identify trends and improve the effectiveness of cybersecurity Governance program.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, governance, compliance, or risk management

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (NIST, CIS, CSF, ISO)

  • Knowledge of information security principles and functions

  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw actionable outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Disney experience preferred

  • Industry cybersecurity certifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in, C ybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $95,300 to $127,800 per year and in Seattle, WA is $99, 900 to $133,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
