Supports delivery of security, safety, and parking services on campus by supervising the day to day operations of a designated shift of Security & Safety Officers in the field. Promotes the security goals of crime and loss prevention through interactions with other departments, and the supervision and activities of staff. Promotes the Magis goals of customer service (care, concern, respect, cooperation) through interactions with other departments and supervision of staff. Handles the day to day Human Resource responsibilities of shift. Provides and participates in training of officers and other employees. Develops staffing schedules. Assists the Safety Department in the accomplishment of safety goals and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations. Assists the Parking Department in the accomplishment of parking goals through enforcement of rules and regulations, motorist assist services, and traffic control.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Specify Degree(s): Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement/Security Administration/Fire Service
Minimum Experience: Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Licensure/Certifications: Required: General - Valid Illinois drivers license Preferred: Basic Life Support (CPR) Other: IAHSS Basic, Advanced, Supervisory Certification Preferred
Compensation: Pay Range: $23.18 - $35.92 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
