Position Overview: Silco Fire & Security is currently seeking a Project Supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include defining project scope, developing detailed plans and timelines, managing resources effectively in collaboration with sales teams and subcontractors while keeping the clients updated and informed on project milestones. The role involves creating and monitoring project budgets, issuing change orders, and ensuring cost control to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager will track progress through daily field reports, maintain accurate project documentation, and utilize project management and accounting software. Strong communication is essential, as the role requires organizing meetings, providing stakeholder updates, and facilitating collaboration between customers, design, and project teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Scope Definition:
    • Receive projects from sales teams; understand and refine the scope of the sold project; develop project plans and timelines; quickly identify project risks and create mitigation plans; and develop resource plans.
    • Work closely with Sales Team for project handoff to Operations.
    • On-board sub-contractors as needed to assist in scope completion or pricing quotations.
  • Project Financial Management:
    • Develop project budget; identify and issue change orders; use sound cost control practices and strategies; issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors; request periodic invoices for in-progress projects based on current percentage of completion.
    • Manage project to be installed on-time and on-budget.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Review daily field reports on each active project to accurately gauge project percentage of completion; enter project information into project management software and accounting tools.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports. Ensure all project documentation is correctly stored and archived.
  • Communication:
    • Organize and attend project meetings.
    • Provide regular updates to all stakeholders.
    • Facilitate good communication between customers, design, and project teams.
  • Training:
    • Provide training and guidance as needed for installation teams.
    • Assist in the development of new business proposals and proposal reviews
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of security solutions including but not limited to, Intrusion, Video, Access Control, Gates, Nurse Call systems and general safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Mondays and other project management software and tools.
