Compensation Range: The base pay scale for this position is $31.00 - $31.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
Job DescriptionMinimum one year in a customer service or any related work/school environment where productivity and critical thinking is required. 18-hour mandatory security class, coupled with additional 16 hour security class within first three months of employment (if not already completed at time of hire).
Law enforcement or hospital security experience highly desirable
Ability to communicate with people at all levels, be culturally competent and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking. Ability to write reports and perform basic data entry.
Intermittent physical exertion Sitting or standing in the same location, as well as the ability to react quickly and/or physically exert as urgent/emergent situations warrant - such as responding to emergencies, walking/running, assisting patients in/out of cars and wheelchairs, climbing stairs and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (50 lbs. or more) Examples: traversing the hospital campus to perform security checks, escorting patients/visitors/staff, and assisting with evacuation of patients using Emergency Management Equipment.
Regular exposure to moderate physical discomfort from fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights.
Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials; but employment may require performing unplanned Category 1 tasks.
