The Security Officer (Part-Time) is responsible for security of the facility including, but are not limited to, internal and external surveillance, monitoring incoming and outgoing materials, and metal detection procedures for all employees, visitors and contractors. You will have the opportunity to: Greet and visually identify employees entering the metals area. Check the credentials of employees not recognized. Brief visitors on security procedures, and have them sign the required consent form. Ensure all visitors and contractors remain in the front lobby area until their escort is available to meet them. Ensure all persons, employees, contractors, and visitors are subjected to metal detection screening upon leaving the metals area. Ensure that all material leaving the area has been checked and documented. Schedule and supervise all door openings for incoming and outgoing material or personnel.
