Security Officer (Part Time) - UnityPoint Health : Job Details

The Security Officer I is to provide a safe and secure environment for all of UnityPoint Health-JRMC Hospital properties. Provide input in developing security procedures, which address the day to day physical security needs of the hospital. Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations; good public relations skills, including listening, providing clear explanations, accurate directions, displays a helpful attitude and answers questions in a cheerful professional manner. Builds and maintains professional customer relations with patients, visitors, staff and physicians. Work closely with and maintain good relationships with outside law enforcement agencies. Patrols the campus grounds and buildings on foot or on mobile patrol in all weather and climate conditions. Monitors persons accessing JRMC property and buildings to determine whether they are present for legitimate reasons.
