Security Officer - Eastern Connecticut Health Network : Job Details

Perform a variety of security and safety related functions while involved in the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and property. EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION: Must be a high school graduate as evidenced by a diploma or GED equivalency certificate. Must have a Valid Driver s License with acceptable driving record for past year and maintain an acceptable driving record. Must possess a current Connecticut Security Officer Identification Card or obtain it within 60 days of hire. Must obtain CPI conflict resolution training within 6 months of hire. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of previous security or security-related experience, such as law enforcement, or military service is necessary. COMPETENCIES: Must be able to read, speak and write proficiently in English in order to effectively communicate on a daily basis with staff, patients and visitors.
