Full Time Campus Security Officer - Concord, MA

Job Summary:
The Campus Security Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The officer will be responsible for patrolling campus grounds, responding to emergencies, enforcing institutional policies, and providing assistance as needed to ensure the safety and security of the campus community.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol campus buildings, facilities, and grounds on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and unauthorized activities.
Respond promptly to calls for service including alarms, disturbances, accidents, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
Enforce campus rules, regulations, and policies to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain high visibility while on duty and serve as a deterrent to unsafe or illegal activity.
Monitor access to buildings and facilities; check IDs or credentials as required.
Write detailed and accurate incident, accident, and activity reports.
Operate security systems including cameras, alarms, and access control technology.
Assist with traffic and crowd control during campus events or emergencies.
Provide safety escorts for students and staff upon request.
Attend mandatory training sessions and maintain certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid).
Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Strong communication, observational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Physical capability to stand, walk, and/or patrol for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
Previous security, law enforcement, or military experience.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Familiarity with security systems and emergency response procedures.
