*Description*
Design, build, test, and deploy new security technologies, including developing operational manuals and run books.Provide technical security operations engineering services to support and update existing security systems; automate security processes related to implementation, monitoring, and enforcement.Investigate, recommend, evaluate, deploy, and integrate operational security tools and techniques to enhance protection of corporate assets and infrastructure.Participate in technical risk assessments and security exposure analyses of systems, networks, and business applications.Analyze network security components and architectural designs to ensure secure, optimal, and cost-effective system and network performance.Oversee installation, configuration, and support processes of security technologies.Lead or participate in incident response activities.Engage with internal and external clients to identify security requirements and develop strategies to address security issues.Stay updated on trends and technologies in IT, network engineering, and information security.Lead or assist in the creation of security reports for stakeholders.Monitor and manage networks and infrastructure for attacks, malware, and intrusions; ensure complete remediation of infected systems.Provide on-call support as per the rotational schedule.Implement changes to security technologies following policies and procedures.Evaluate, tune, and operate security solutions such as IPS, vulnerability scanners, and encryption tools.Support security audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.Perform other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in security engineering, planning, or operations.
- Experience with medium to complex computing environments and advanced security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: IDS/IPS, VPNs, firewalls, network access controls, Windows OS, network packet inspection, directory services.
- Knowledge of security risk assessment methodologies and standards.
- Effective communication skills across technical and executive levels.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SANS preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to create and disable firewall rules; knowledge of host-based security and IP security tunnels.
- Expert level in security technologies and practices.
Other Details
- Pay range: $98,000 - $120,000/year.
- Location: Fully onsite in West Point, GA.
