Role Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to lead edge security initiatives, architect security solutions, and ensure the security and resilience of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience in security, with a deep understanding of cloud/network architectures and a passion for mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edge Security Architecture: Design and deploy security measures at the network edge, including firewalls, proxies, WAFs, and CDN security.
  • DDoS Mitigation: Develop strategies to safeguard platforms against DDoS attacks, monitor traffic, and respond to threats.
  • Zero Trust Implementation: Architect solutions enforcing least-privilege access, continuous verification, and micro-segmentation.
  • Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Establish monitoring, identify vulnerabilities, and coordinate incident responses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to integrate security into architecture and deployment processes.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Drive security initiatives, mentor engineers, and conduct training.
  • Policy Development: Develop and refine security policies, ensuring compliance and best practices.
    • Required Qualifications
    • 5–10 years in network security, with experience in large-scale cloud environments.
    • Deep understanding of edge security, DDoS mitigation, and zero trust models.
    • Proficiency in network protocols, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and container security.
    • Leadership experience in security initiatives and mentoring.
    • Excellent collaboration skills and familiarity with security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2).
    Preferred Skills & Qualifications
    • Experience in hyperscale environments (FAANG or similar).
    • Knowledge of enterprise DDoS and WAF solutions.
    • Designing zero trust networks and IAM systems.
    • Scripting skills (Python, Go) and DevSecOps practices.
    • Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, cloud security certs).
    • Active involvement in security communities and current knowledge of threats.

    Compensation ranges from $185,000 to $230,000, based on experience and location.
