General Scope of Function The Library Clerk Secretary plays an integral role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the school's Library Media Center operations. This position provides essential support to the Students and Library Media Specialist while serving as a key liaison between faculty, students, and families. Preferred Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/ or abilities required: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Advanced secretarial skills including but not limited to experience with Microsoft Suite - MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Google email and / or financial software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with an ability to work with district staff, students and parents.
- Possess good judgment in responding to parents, guardians and other members of the public.
- High degree of organization.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Previous Experience is a school system a plus
- Knowledge of PowerSchool a plus
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities EXAMPLE OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform secretarial duties to include but are not limited to manage & maintaining office documents, faxing, photocopying, all written and electronic correspondence, financial documents and records.
- Answer and direct telephone inquiries.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Physical Activity: The position may require infrequent lifting, pulling or pushing during the normal performance of the tasks and responsibilities. Work may require frequent sitting, walking, and standing in an office environment.
