[email protected] with any questions. Summary: The Secretary 2, Head Start Program, will provide clerical support to the various service areas of the Head Start Programs. DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS: All district employees must: •Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Responsibilities: •Verifies, codes, and/or classifies incoming materials and documents; returns incorrect material to senders for needed correction, and maintains follow-up procedures to ensure return of corrected materials. •Makes computations needed for reports, budgets, and records; condenses data for department use. •Operates various general office machines, including but not limited to adding machines, copy machines, calculators, computers, collators, decollators, call directories, and other telephone-related devices. •Gathers a variety of information from various sources for use by others in answering correspondence or preparing reports. •Prepares reports or drafts correspondence as directed. •Establishes and is responsible for the complete maintenance of filing systems, related responsibilities of accurate filing and ease of material retrieval. •Plans, assigns, reviews, and corrects the work of and trains lower level employees. •Performs basic computer skills, such as keyboarding, spreadsheets, and presentation software. •Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages, as well as prepares outgoing mail and packages. •Maintains payroll and other related personnel functions. •Prepares bookkeeping and various cost center reports. •Performs basic secretarial functions, including but not limited to setting of appointments, answering phones, and note taking. •Performs any other duties as assigned.
