SEASONAL ROAD WORKER/ WEED-EATER - FAYETTE COUNTY : Job Details

This is a seasonal position without benefits. This position will perform daily labor-intensive tasks for the maintenance of county roadways which includes daily operation of a weed eater. Major duties include but are not limited to:Right-of-Way Maintenance Operations1. Daily operation of weed eater as part of the Department's right-of-way mowing crew2. Operation of a Crew Cab truck3. Learn to operate a grass tractor, zero-turn mower, bush hog and weed eater to maintain the grass alongside the roads in the County.4. Learn how to properly use a chainsawGeneral Operations1. Knowledge of the principles and practices of road construction, repair, and maintenance2. Learn how to properly set-up safe work-zone devices and flag traffic3. Learn how to tie-down construction equipment for safe transportation4. Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.• Possession of a valid Class C driver's license issued by the State of Georgia;• No experience requirements.Code : 604-44Grade : TEMP/ SEASONALHOURLY RATE: $20.92-$20.92
