SEAS Leisure Program Assistant Director - Town of Barnstable : Job Details

Job Summary:The Assistant Leisure Program Director will assist the LP Director in planning, organizing, and coordinating a Summer Day Program for children aged 5-13. This role involves administrative tasks, supervising up to 10 children, and supporting the overall operation of the program under the general supervision of the Leisure Program Director and Program Coordinators.Qualifications:- Must be attending college or be a college graduate.- Should possess at least 3 years of experience in a summer day program or a combination of relevant education and experience.- First Aid and CPR certification required.- Must hold a valid driver's license.Additional Qualifications:- Knowledge of summer program planning.- Ability to develop, coordinate, and direct various activities within a summer program.- Proficiency in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff, vendors, participants, and the public.- Effective communication skills with participants, parents, and colleagues.- Demonstrate good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.Responsibilities:- Assist in planning and organizing the Summer Day Program.- Supervise and engage with up to 60 children.- Support the implementation of varied activities in the program.- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.- Uphold program standards and safety regulations.- Collaborate with the team to ensure a successful program experience for all participants.
