We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead Agile initiatives within high-impact Capital Markets projects. This on-site role in New York City is ideal for a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with deep knowledge of Market Risk, data analysis, and ETL/data warehousing processes.

The ideal candidate thrives in financial institutions and can effectively bridge the gap between technical and business teams using Agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

• Act as Scrum Master across one or more Agile teams, coaching team members and resolving roadblocks

• Write user stories and define acceptance criteria in JIRA

• Maintain and manage JIRA boards, Confluence pages, KPI dashboards, and reporting tools

• Drive collaboration between Product Owners, developers, and QA to ensure deliverables meet business needs

• Ensure timelines, budgets, and project scope are aligned and delivered to expectations

• Troubleshoot bottlenecks and coach teams on continuous improvement techniques

• Champion Agile mindset across cross-functional teams

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in IT

• 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets projects (not retail or consumer banking)

• Proficient in ETL and Data Warehousing with hands-on data analysis exposure

• Deep understanding of Market Risk (e.g., exposure, value at risk, stress testing)

• Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, and Excel reporting tools

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience managing multiple high-stakes projects and Agile teams

Certifications:

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

• SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist

• ITIL Foundations (if applicable to large org structure support)

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, or Derivatives

• Background in handling data-centric regulatory reporting initiatives

• Experience with BI tools or advanced reporting environments
