Position: Senior Programmer / SCRUM Master
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager / Strategic Systems Analyst to drive key initiatives that modernize our payroll, HR, and financial systems. This role blends hands-on AS400 development with strategic project leadership, including cross-system integration and team coordination within Agile frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Product Owner and AS400 Team Lead on critical payroll and HR system projects
- Lead the modernization and optimization of legacy AS400 applications (RPGLE, COBOL)
- Oversee complex system integrations with JD Edwards and SAP Concur
- Manage high-volume payroll operations (W2/1099), ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Retrospectives
- Backlog
Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of experience in enterprise IT, project management, or system leadership
- Advanced knowledge of AS400, RPGLE (free format), and COBOL
- Experience managing payroll and HR systems, particularly JD Edwards
- Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC best practices
- Proven expertise in enterprise system integration and modernization projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SAP Concur integrations
- Leadership in large-scale payroll transformation initiatives
