Join Our Team as a Scrum Master!

GovCIO is excited to find a talented Scrum Master to become a key member of our team. This full-time position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of a pending contract and is currently unfunded.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert in Agile methodologies to support the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio.
• Implement and manage Agile solutions within technical teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinements.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager to prepare for Sprint Reviews.
• Mentor and coach the team on Agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Engage with development teams on large enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Prepare coaching materials and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to foster continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date on industry-standard Agile and DevOps techniques to drive team success.
• Maintain and ensure the effective use of Jira and Confluence for team organization and tracking progress.
• Evaluate team activities regularly to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Required: Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, CAPM, etc.
• Experience leading Scrum Teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
• Proficient in Jira management and Confluence use.
• A strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Microsoft Suite and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A positive attitude and readiness to assist wherever necessary.

Preferred:

• Experience in an IT environment.
• Familiarity with managing PI Planning.
• Experience in employee management and leadership.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Salary Information:

The anticipated salary range is USD $75,000 - $95,000 per year, based on various factors including knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
