Join Our Team as a Scrum Master!
GovCIO is excited to find a talented Scrum Master to become a key member of our team. This full-time position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of a pending contract and is currently unfunded.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert in Agile methodologies to support the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio.
- Implement and manage Agile solutions within technical teams.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinements.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager to prepare for Sprint Reviews.
- Mentor and coach the team on Agile practices such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Engage with development teams on large enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Prepare coaching materials and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to foster continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date on industry-standard Agile and DevOps techniques to drive team success.
- Maintain and ensure the effective use of Jira and Confluence for team organization and tracking progress.
- Evaluate team activities regularly to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, CAPM, etc.
- Experience leading Scrum Teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Proficient in Jira management and Confluence use.
- A strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Suite and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude and readiness to assist wherever necessary.
Preferred:
- Experience in an IT environment.
- Familiarity with managing PI Planning.
- Experience in employee management and leadership.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range is USD $75,000 - $95,000 per year, based on various factors including knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
