Scrum Master - Lighthouse Technology Services : Job Details

Buffalo, NY Contract Opportunity Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Scrum Master position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide servant-leadership and mentorship to one cross-functional agile team using Agile principles and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
• Foster self-organization, cross-functionality, collaboration, conflict resolution, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Apply Agile practices including user stories, retrospectives, story mapping, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and information radiators to help create high-performing teams.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through transparency, collaboration, and regular retrospectives.
• Facilitate key Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Address blockers and collaborate with other Agile leaders to enhance Agile effectiveness across the organization.
• Promote learning opportunities such as communities of practice, conferences, and training.
• Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory standards and maintain internal control standards.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience as a member of an Agile team, including at least 1 year as a Scrum Master; or, in lieu of a degree, a combined 6+ years of education and/or experience, with at least 2 years on Agile teams and 1 year as a Scrum Master.
• Prior experience fostering team self-organization and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices.
• Experience developing or managing digital capabilities.
• Understanding of Design Thinking principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading through influence.
