Location: Draper, UT (On-site, 5 days/week)

Contract Type: 6-Month W2 Contract

Client: Upbound Group

Scrum certification is preferred with 5+ years' experience, and ideally someone that's gone through IT Agile adoption or has worked in an environment with no formal Agile/scrum framework.

📝 Job Summary

Odyssey's client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join their team in Draper, UT. This role is ideal for a servant leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about driving Agile best practices. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum principles and practices
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized backlog
  • Track and communicate team metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.)
  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress
  • Foster a high-performing, self-organizing team culture
  • Ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders
  • Support Agile adoption across the organization

✅ Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Rally)
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred
