Senior Scrum Master – AI Training Enablement

Location: Waukegan, IL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Weekly)

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Potential for Extension)

Pay Rate: $75 - 83/hour (W2)

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support a high-impact, enterprise-wide AI enablement initiative at one of the leading healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. This role focuses on enhancing the delivery platform and training materials for company-wide AI training—a rapidly growing and highly marketable space.

You will be a foundational member of a newly formed team tasked with designing and scaling a modern AI training delivery system, combining Agile best practices with cutting-edge AI tools to improve team performance and enterprise learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies across 2–3 cross-functional teams (5–6 people per team)
• Implement Agile processes and best practices from the ground up within an enterprise environment
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., chatbots, virtual assistants, AI-based research platforms) to enhance team productivity and workflow
• Partner with stakeholders to drive delivery of AI training platform enhancements and content
• Utilize JIRA for sprint tracking, workflow management, and documentation
• Collaborate with program management to ensure alignment with broader transformation goals
• Provide coaching and support to teams new to Agile methodologies

Top Required Skills

• 8–10 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading multiple Agile teams
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools for research, communication, and task optimization
• 4–5 years of Project Management experience within hybrid enterprise environments
• 5+ years of hands-on JIRA experience

Home Run Skills

• Proven track record of setting up Agile teams and practices from scratch within large organizations
• 3–4 years of experience using AI tools in a Scrum or delivery context to improve outcomes
• Background in delivering or contributing to AI training programs or enterprise learning platforms
• Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.) are a strong plus
