Screening Test Technician
Part-time position
The Screening Test Technician will greet and meet the referrals at a designated location. This person will perform directly observed, observed and monitored urine collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to a designated location for the purpose of collecting urine. On occasion you may be expected to travel to other sites to provide coverage in certain situations. If the company vehicle isn't available, you will take your vehicle and you will be reimbursed for mileage.
- Ensure that all client paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of the collection
- Always adhering to confidentiality expectations while representing MATS
- Responsible for monitoring inventory to ensure that they have adequate supplies always
- Perform collections for urine drug screening either monitored, observed or directly observed
- Other duties as assigned
Duties
- Meet and greet the public, be personable and help people be at ease
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to ensure accurate transcription of information onto CoC (lab slip)
- Neat legible handwriting to ensure correct information can be viewed by lab and staff
- Enforce rules for testing as posted at each test site
- Collect urine samples and package samples for the lab ensuring all steps are followed and all information is complete and accurate
- Ability to complete all other duties as assigned
- Use of email (Outlook) including attaching downloaded photos and files
- Navigating Microsoft OneDrive shared folders and sub folders
- Answering inbound calls and placing outbound calls
- Using Zoom as needed for training or staff meetings
- Use a cell phone camera to upload photos to Microsoft OneDrive
- Use PDFfiller app to create instant test reports and download them to PC
- Downloading photos and files from Microsoft OneDrive to attach to email
Skills Needed
- Basic PC, email (Outlook), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) skills including creating, updating and editing daily referral lists from inbound emails
- Attention to detail
- Ability to be personable with the public
- Mature assertive manner to ensure testing rules are followed
- Knowledgeable on universal precautions
- Confidentiality must be maintained at all times including CoC and lists from DHHS with clients names
- Pass background check
